Bentley Continental GTC Speed 80-11 Wallpaper

The Middle East isn't the only region to get a pair of special edition Bentleys as the British automaker unveiled the Continental GTC and GTC Speed 80-11 models designed exclusively for North America on the Concept Lawn at this past weekend's 60th Annual Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. For those wondering about the designation, the 80 stands for the number of units that will be built and the "11" indicates the cars' model year (2011).

And yes, as you probably already suspect, the changes over the standard Continental GTC and GTC Speed convertibles are purely cosmetic. Both cars are offered in a variety of colors including a new and unique finish called "Midnight", combined with a Dark Grey Metallic soft top and the Mulliner fuel-filler cap plus Union Jack brightware badges on the front fenders as standard.

The GTC, which boasts a twin-turbo 6.0-liter W12 engine producing 552HP and 479 lb-ft of torque for a top speed of 195mph (190mph with the top down) and a 0-60mph sprint time of 4.8 seconds, also gets new 20-inch 4-spoke alloy diamond wheels, polished with unique black center caps.

The sportier GTC Speed model, which uses an uprated twin-turbo 6.0-liter W12 with 600HP and 553 lb-ft of torque for a top speed of 200mph (195mph with top down) and a 0-60mph time of 4.5 seconds, is offered with dark tinted 20-inch alloy wheels displaying red brake calipers underneath.

Inside, the firm's designers dressed the interior in Beluga leather with contrast stitching, piping and Bentley emblems in white on the GTC and Pillar Box Red on the GTC Speed. In addition, both cars get Piano Black trim and engine-turned aluminum dash with a bright finish in the GTC and a dark finish for the GTC Speed.

The "race-inspired" drilled alloy sport foot pedals along with the special treadplates and a badge on the console which are both branded with the "80-11 Edition" signature, complete the look.

Bentley's flagship model made its grand entrance during the 2009 Pebble Beach Concours D'Elegance in Monterey, California. The Bentley Mulsanne is motivated by a gasoline-powered 6.75-liter twin-turbo V8 churning out 505 horsepower with maximum torque of (1020 Nm / 752 lb ft)coming in at 1800 rpm.

The engine is all new, made from aluminum and lightweight internals including a forged crankshaft. It also features cam-phasing (variable valve timing) and variable displacement (cylinder deactivation). One benefit of all that tech is that the staggering torque number is available across the rev range, another is better fuel economy, as if that really matters to Bentley prospects.

All that power gets routed through an eight-speed transmission (with paddle shifters) before hitting the massive rear wheels (265/45/20 standard, 265/40/21 optional).

As expected from a range topping luxury car from Bentley, the top notch interior sees high quality wood and leather and a 2200 watt sound system claim to be the most powerful unit ever installed in a car. Bentley Continental GT Ultrasports 702 Wallpaper

German tuning specialist "Wheelsandmore" has released a tuning package for the most powerful Bentley in the firm's 90-year history. The 621HP Continental Supersport's output has been enhance to 702HP accompanied by 650 lb-ft of torque. As a result top speed is also increased by 5 mph, so this Bentley won't stop until it hits 209 mph or 336 km/h.

Black is the order of the day for this version of Continental Sports as everything from the bodypanel to the interior is draped in pitch black.Other performance enhancements include lightweight three-piece 21-inch alloy wheels wrapped in Dunlop Sport Maxx tyres and massive carbon-ceramic brakes. Bentley Continental Flying Spur Speed China Wallpaper

Debuting along the Continental GT special mention in my previous post is the Bentley Continental Flying Spur Speed China for targeted at the elite Chinese consumers. The Continental Flying Spur comes with upgrades such as suspension that have been retuned for enhanced comfort while the exhaust system has been modified to produce a quieter note.

The Continental Flying Spur special also features gets 'Speed China' treadplates and wing badges (with a matching badge visible on the centre console) while the company's famous 'B' emblem has been affixed to both 'C' pillars.

The pride and joy of each Continental GT Design Series China car is the three-tone interior that blends a main leather hide color with accent and insert colors to details like the coupe's seat belts, floor mats, seat piping and the hand-stitching applied to the steering wheel.

This series cars will be further distinguished by some subtle exterior and interior motifs such as an exterior wing badge, treadplate and name badge positioned on the centre console, all bearing the 'Design Series China' signature.
